My haircut here was one of the worst experiences I have had getting my haircut. (1) The owners (a mother son combo) spent the entire time bickering about the business and when the mother left, the son (who was cutting my hair) bashed her for the rest of time I was there. This hardly made it a calming relaxing environment. (2) Everything was dirty. I immediately went home and washed my hair again. Ick. There was a layer of hair product residue on every surface. (3) The owners had two yippy dogs that run around in the hair on the floor, bark and bite. I got bit (not enough to break the skin but enough to scare me) because I was trying to ignore the dog and he thought nipping my leg might get my attention. (4) There is no place to put your coat/purse/anything. If you put it on the floor the dogs chew it. If you put it in a chair, the dogs pull it off the chair and then chew it. If you keep it in your lap then dogs won't leave you alone. (5) Just to top it all off the guy totally screwed up half my haircut. I just wanted a very simple bob. The one side was great, the other looked like I had been attacked by a weed wacker. With a chunk missing in the front and a huge uncut chunk in the back. :(

I just went to Salon 506 and Carla did a fantastic job! To say that my hair needed help was an understatement. But Carla is a skilled professional and an artist, and she transformed my look for the holiday. She is also great fun to talk with and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Plus I was impressed that she stayed late to do my hair, even with the snow falling outside. Bonus: Carla has a sweet chihuahua named Emma, who was dressed in a holiday outfit and was good as gold, sleeping in her cozy bed next to my station. If you're in the area, go here!
Thank you Salon 506 for making me love my hair again! Carla has a lot of experience and knows how to make your hair look great. I came to her several years ago with a bad cut, color and highlights and she has transformed the awful look into something I get tons of compliments on from everyone. Would highly recommend her for anyone looking for an experienced stylist with color, highlights and good cuts and styles. I look forward to seeing her each time I have an appointment and would never think of going to anyone else!
Go somewhere else, the stylist had taken my beautiful 53 inch shoulder length hair and 22 inch bangs and whacked them off...and cut the right side in steps? Gave me a deep condition did not put me under the dryer just ran it thru my hair... every whipstitch she was hawking products... two days later I saw Gina at Studio 17 who fixed my uneven hair and asked me where the 53 inches of hair and bangs went to..apparently much to my dismay it all ended up on the floor of the Salon and I have had unmanageable hair since then. Tragic.
Through the whole experience the owners did not once apologize for their dogs or anything else. I will not be going back.
