We got a cabin for 5 days. The lake is gorgeous! I suppose the cost is in line for a lake front accommodation, but to say it's small & rustic is an under statement. The cabins are adorable, but very, very tiny. Ours was one small room that served as the bedrooms, slept 4, the living room and the kitchen. The only other room was the bath. These cabins are extremely rustic. There's nothing inside but a full size bed, 2 bunks, a tiny wooden shelf for a counter top, a mini frig, and 1 light bulb on the ceiling, that's it! Anything you need, you must bring! Luckily, we're experienced campers, so we brought enough equipment, like chairs, tables, lights, coolers, etc to make it livable. But then it was really crowded! The place was clean, but very dated. It is way over due an update. You can tell the owners are just keeping with the status quo while these cabins are aging and they haven't been touched since they were built. And, judging by the worn wood trimmed mirrored bathroom cabinet, I'm guessing the 1980's. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, but everyone is packed in and parking is ridiculous. Speaking of being packed in, the cabins do have a tiny front porch where I had imagined relaxing with my morning coffee, in my robe, quietly viewing the water. That did not happen, not even once. There's no privacy because these cabins are too close. Our neighbors had 3 kids that fell in love with our dog, and the whole family was super friendly. All really nice, but my husband and I didn't plan on vacationing with their clan! To me, this is the ideal spot for a father & son get away, or a couple fishing buddies for a weekend, not a relaxing romantic escape.
stayed this weekned. I will have to say, it's a nice campground. But as we have stayed at a few resorts, the restriction here at this marina is little to tight on some rules. We like to have fun not meaning to damage stuff or bother no one 9:30 pm watching race outside and yes we pulling for our favorite driver,so we yell our drivers name at times. Just like a ball game. Camping is fun for families and kids or dogs and people do at times get loud at times. It's part of our lives to ENJOY at times. But please go visit and enjoy the lake just keep calm and quiet after 9pm. We can say we visited, but want be back.
This is a great place to visit!! Staff is amazing!!! My new favorite campground. Safe for kids, quiet to get away and the staff. Just can't say enough from management down!!
We absolutely loved it and had a great time. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was so cute. Loved the porch swing. So peaceful and quiet there, hardly no crowd in the campground or on the lake. The staff and fellow campers were so friendly and nice. Only complaint is the cabin beds are really hard. We definitely plan on going back.
First time here and had a blast. We will defintely be back again. Full hookup(water, power, sewer, cable). Staff will help you to your site and if you need anything from the office (firewood, boat dock).
